Our next Student Spotlight will be featuring Sean!
When did you start pole dancing?
My first pole class was October 26th, 2016!
Favorite part about pole dancing?
The pain, bruises, burns, and fatigue all give way to such beautiful results. That’s the reward that makes it all worth it. Also, punching stigma in the face.
When did you first come to Pole Fitness Seattle?
I was pole born and raised at PFS!
Favorite songs to dance to?
Call me a hopeless romantic, but I find the sexiest songs are those that are emotionally intimate: “Do I wanna know” by Artic Monkeys, “You’re the one that I want” by Lo-Fang, etc.
What are your pole necessities?
Knee pads, mighty grip, and no shirt =) If I’m feeling extra dancey, my ballroom shoes are a must!
Favorite pole move?
Betty Booping down the pole.
What do you enjoy outside of pole? (Yoga, reading, work, hiking, etc.)
Latin dancing, Vogueing, coding, yoga, reading too many books at once, hiking, and eating =)
Whether you’re a local or new in town, what is your favorite part about Seattle?
Since I got here in August, my favorite part of Seattle has been the amazing people I’ve met. Hello, PFS fam!
Favorite food? Favorite place to eat in Seattle? Etc.
Having a favorite food will imply that I love some food more than others. I love all my food options equally. Favorite place to eat in Seattle is tough… but I’ve been taking advantage of Rumba’s $2 taco happy hours quite a bit!
Biggest accomplishment for yourself in 2016 at the PFS studio.
My biggest accomplishment: stepping out of my shell and grabbing the pole for the first time!
How have you grown as a student this past year?
I approach the pole with so much respect now, I appreciate so much more when teachers get up there and show us what they’ve got. Once you realize how much work they put into mastering their craft, you appreciate so much more when you have the opportunity to watch someone perform and then to be so willing to share what they’ve learned with you.
Favorite thing about the PFS studio?
It’s body- sex- everything-positive. There’s only ever cheering your classmates on. Never a sense of pride or shame or unfriendly competition. This is so special and valuable.
We're glad you found us and absolutely love seeing you dance! Thank you for sharing Sean!
