Lyra Classes

​Beginner Lyra 

This is your first step in your aerial journey at Pole Fitness Seattle. In this class, you will learn the various techniques to enter and exit from the hoop along with conditioning, strength, and flexibility exercises. You will also learn some basic poses and holds on the aerial hoop. After a minimum of four (5) Beginner Lyra classes and an instructor assessment, you will be able to continue on to Lyra 1.
**Please wear comfortable clothing that covers your legs in this class. (tights, leggings or athletic pants)

Lyra 1

This class is for students who have progressed from Beginner Lyra and are ready to expand on the basics. Our Aerial Hoop classes are founded on the beauty and strength found in the lyra with emphasis on aerial fitness conditioning. You will learn basic mounts, dismounts, and build on a basic sequence inside the hoop.
This class has a heavy conditioning focus for the basics and is suitable for all fitness levels. 
Prerequisite: A minimum of (4) Beginner Lyra classes and an assessment from the instructor.

Lyra 2

Expand on the basics and learn to string more intermediate level movements together. Phrases in this class are designed to challenge and help students become more comfortable dancing in the lyra. Be prepared for aerial conditioning and flexibility drills.
This class is for those proficient in the fundamentals taught in our Beginner/Intro to Lyra classes and Lyra 1. Students must also pass an instructor assessment prior to entering into this class.
