We have another instructor spotlight this week from Yael and a nice message to us for 2017!
2017 will be a year of personal significance for me as I have my 10 year pole-aversary in March! I began learning to pole in 2007, and have never looked back. This past decade has been one of immense growth for me as I have morphed from a newbie poler to a seasoned dancer, instructor and performer. I'm proud to say I've been part of Pole Fitness Seattle since we opened, and look forward to many more great years! Through many life changes such as marriage, travel, pregnancy and motherhood, pole has remained a staple in my life. It grounds me and provides a much needed outlet for personal expression, as well as physical fitness. Over the years, pole has shaped my body into an aerial athlete, and shaped my mind into a confident teacher and performer. One of my favorite things about pole, and specifically Pole Fitness Seattle is the strength of our community bonds and the support system we provide each other. There is nothing like pole people! In the many years I have spent poling, I have yet to find another community so tight knit, with such intense camaraderie. We share something very special at Pole Fitness Seattle and I am honored to be part of it.
Moving forward, my 2017 goals are to keep progressing as a dancer, and always be in hot pursuit of new skills. No matter how long you have pursued this beautiful art form, there is always more to learn. I'd also like to make time to take the stage more, as I believe performance is both humbling and invigorating. Creating shareable live art brings out my most creative self.
Happy 2017, I hope to dance with all of you soon!
