We're excited to announce three of our very own students transitioning into our Apprenticeship program here at the Pole Fitness Seattle studio! You may have already seen them in your classes, observing with other instructors, but here is a formal introduction to them and what they will be teaching come the new year. Annalisa1) Bio and Experience 1) My pole and lyra journey began in 2015 at PFS. After completing the Intro to Pole series, I was hooked! I continued to take other classes and learned the different aspects of pole dance and the fundamentals of lyra. These apparatuses taught me how to combine strength and grace, and I find that fascinating. 2) What are you looking forward to the most as becoming an instructor at PFS? I look forward to sharing my passion for pole and lyra through teaching. My goal is to inspire, motivate, and encourage my students to achieve their fitness goals. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student's progression each week, and knowing how hard they've trained for it. 3) Favorite song at the moment? Currently, I have an obsession with "Die for you" by The Weeknd and "Give Me One Reason" By: Tracy Chapman. 4) Anything else you'd like to share! I love food and also my two amazing daughters! Annalisa will be teaching Beginnger Lyra and Intro to Pole Candace1) Bio and Experience I am about to have my 2 year pole-versary at PFS in January, which is shocking because it has felt like no time at all! What an amazing journey it has been. I began as a Fitmob/ClassPass drop-in student, (while simultaneously dipping my toe into the gamut of exercise options this city has to offer) and after one class with Emily, I knew poling was it for me! I am so glad that this evolution in my journey has taken place, because I have found a whole new appreciation for this sport and this community after i competed in November. 2) What are you looking forward to the most as becoming an instructor at PFS? I want to inspire our students to find the confidence and determination that I found here, and encourage them to explore all the facets that this sport has to offer. 3) Favorite song at the moment? I have a few favorite songs that I always turn to for different things - my sexy song is "Get You Good" by Roy Wood$; my favorite flow song is "Haunted" by Beyonce, and the song I play when Im trying to tap into my deep strength and really work out is "Beast" by Rob Bailey And The Hustle Standard. 4) Anything else you'd like to share! I am a big believer in setting goals because it helps you focus and it helps you trace your progress. I have a few goals, but primarily 2017 is all about the FLEXIBILITY. I am determined to get my middle splits AND be able to roll through them by the end of the year. What will your goal(s) be? I'm excited! Let's do it! Candace wil lbe teaching Flexibility, Sexy Sculpt, and Intro to Pole Ladaska1) Please provide a quick little bio on your pole experience.
I fell in love with pole dance at a bachelorette party in 2008 and have been dancing ever since. Teaching seemed like a natural progression I started teaching in the Chicago suburbs in 2011. I'm excited to continue with PFS! I was also a regular performer in the Viva La Pole show in Chicago. I was the PSO Southwest Pole Championships 2016 L3 Entertainment Champion and the L3 Exotic bronze winner at the same event. I was also named Cleo the Hurricane's 2015 "Ass Shaka of the Year"! My favorite part of pole is the versatility and the ability for each person to make it their own. 2) What are you looking forward to the most as becoming an instructor at PFS? As an instructor I am most looking forward to becoming more deeply rooted in the PFS community and helping amazing women and men reach their goals. 3) Favorite song at the moment? Ehhhh, toss up between ScHoolboy Q's "THat Part" and "Wishing" by DJ Drama 4) Anything else you'd like to share! I moved here three months ago and PFS was the first place I went. I've been teaching group fitness since undergrad and love everything fitness, however, love wine, IPAs and chicken wings just as much. I'm an admitted introvert and always in need of a nap, massage and large dose of caffeine. Ladaska will be teaching Climb and Spins 1 and Intro to Pole
