Owner/Founder of Pole Fitness Seattle
I created the Pole Fitness Seattle “Femme Owned Business Feature” because entrepreneurship can be a source of tremendous social good bringing communities together and empowering women with personal independence. On our blog, Pole Fitness Seattle will feature a business in an effort to not only promote the business alongside our own but bring more resources and support to Pole Fitness Seattle students. I want students and staff to have a reference of other great businesses to be excited about.
November Female business feature: Rock, Paper Scissor Salon - PFS students get 20% services!
Pole Fitness Seattle & Rock, Paper Scissor Salon
Our partnership with Rock, Paper Scissors salon (aka RPSMadrona) started in 2013 when I first opened the Pole Fitness Seattle studio in SODO. The salon owner, Brianne Ingertila was also just opening her new salon. The two of us would run into each other at Lowes on Rainier Avenue, arms full of paint and laughter. We supported each other by swapping stories of the struggles, challenges, and rewards of starting a new business from scratch. Brianne has a deep love for her clients and a passion for hair design. She lights up when she talks about making someone feel beautiful again.
Like Pole Fitness Seattle, her client base is diverse and the salon provides a space for everyone to come in and feel good about themselves. I remember telling Brianne how overwhelmed I was managing everything on my own in the beginning but it didn’t matter because the moment I’d watch one of my students transform and begin to love herself in her own skin, it was all worth it. That was something we shared and the foundation of the businesses we started.
What is Rock, Paper, Scissors:

RPS Madrona is EXPANDING with an additional space that will offer children’s boutique hair services, photography and feature a retail selection of education toys. This was Brianne’s vision and it was founded on the idea that kids also want to feel good and express themselves. Fueled by the inspiration and experience she has had in becoming a mother, the new salon will provide kids with a space to be creative while offering parents support through services such as non-toxic hair color treatments, trendy styles, and more.
Their Grand Opening is December 1st! They will be celebrating with professional Santa photos, hot chocolate, goodie bags, and more.
All Pole Fitness Seattle students get 20% hair services this month!
