We had a blast with Lou Landers during her visit this month with a couple of fun workshops along with having her as a featured guest at The Vertical Cabaret, Femme Fatale show put on by The Bordeaux Project. We caught up with her before she left so check out some photos and our interview with her below!
PFS: What is your favorite move at the moment?
LL: I have a few moves that I love at the moment and sometimes it not just about loving one move or trick but loving a flow or transition. *Machine gun & bondage splits *scissors split drops and dynamic splits *floor to pole transitions *twizzles inverts(backwards spinning inverts) *floorwork and dance.
PFS: Favorite song to dance to?
LL: Powerful by major lazor And stairway to heaven
PFS: How was your experience with the Bordeaux Project for the Femme Fatale Vertical Cabaret?
LL: It was such a privilege to work with such powerful, confident and talented women. Backstage was so much fun and everybody was extremely supportive and just overall wonderful. I would be apart of this again in a heart beat. I Loved every second of it and it gives me a massive appreciation for what I do and the amazing people I get to meet and work with.
PFS: Favorite Workshop to teach?
LL: I really love all my workshops for different reasons. The dance and floor workshops are great energy and fun and my trick workshops are all my favourite trucks and splits I love doing. Bootay is super popular and gets me on a super high but overall I don't think I have a favourite. I love them all.
PFS: Best part of your workshops last weekend?
LL: The students and their great energy. I really love my job and I'm very lucky to be able to do what I love. Having a laugh in class with everybody is like gold for me and warms my heart.
PFS: Favorite thing about Seattle?
LL: It feels like home, the people are amazing and I really feel like Iv made friends for life. Seattle is a beautiful city but it's the people in it that make it that way.
Thank you Lou for such a wonderful weekend! The students learned and took away so much and we loved having you as part of The Vertical Cabaret!
